Quarterly Highlights
Net interest income for the third quarter of 2026 was $46.7 million, a $1.0 million, or 2.1%, decrease from the second quarter of 2026.
The decrease was primarily due to lower interest income on loans from a one-time $1.6 million interest income recovery on a nonaccrual loan resolution in the second quarter, less purchase accounting accretion, and higher interest expense, as average rates paid on deposits and borrowings increased slightly, mainly driven by the recent increase by the Federal Reserve in the federal funds benchmark rate. These factors were partially offset by higher loan and investment yields.
Net interest margin (on a tax-equivalent basis)(1) decreased 13 bps to 3.84%, from 3.97% for the second quarter of 2026.
The decrease was mainly attributable to a one-time $1.6 million interest income recovery on a nonaccrual loan resolution in the second quarter and less purchase accounting accretion, partially offset by higher loan and investment yields.
Net interest margin (on a tax-equivalent basis)(1) was impacted by 28 bps of purchase accounting accretion in the third quarter of 2026.
