Run private board meetings

Private board meetings, papers and minutes. Shareholder meetings are set up from Board too.

  • Set up your board. Owners and admins set up Board. Whoever sets it up becomes its Board owner. Add a committee beside your board, with its own members and meetings, and plan the board's year. The Board owner invites each director by email, with their role. Their board access begins once they accept.
  • Prepare each meeting and its papers. Set the agenda and add each paper as a PDF. A revised paper keeps its earlier versions. Before you publish the meeting package, you see who can read it. Then send everyone who can read it a calendar invitation.
  • Read the papers and meet on 6ix. Directors read papers inside Board and keep private notes. Once a meeting is published, its members meet in the meeting's own room on 6ix. Ask 6ix AI about your board papers once the Board owner allows it. 6ix AI uses only the board records each member may read.
  • Record decisions and actions. Record each decision, and ask members for their responses, with the quorum you set. Take attendance, and assign each action to a person, with a due date. Write the minutes, send them for review, then approve them. Records keeps the approved minutes, recorded decisions and every package you published. Download a meeting as a ZIP, and import your past records.

Who uses it: your directors read Board. Your team can forward them your Report email.

You choose who reads your board papers

Directors in Board see Board only. 6ix staff can join a board meeting's room to support it, but can't read your papers or vote unless you add them to Board. A member with access can download a meeting as a ZIP, which includes the paper PDFs. With 6ix AI on, your questions and the board records they cover go to 6ix's AI provider, and 6ix keeps each question and answer.

Questions about board meetings

Who can see Board? The Board owner adds members and sees every paper. The chair and secretary also see every paper as they prepare the meeting. Directors and observers read the papers in each package you publish to them. A company owner or admin without a Board seat can't read papers.

Does each director need a 6ix account? Each director signs in to 6ix with the email their invitation went to, then presses Accept board invitation. Logging in creates their 6ix account if they don't have one.
